I am interested in  exploring textures, rhythms, traces of time and sensory experiences relating to our connection with the natural world.

I like to work in a layered manner, taking different elements and moments relating to observed natural phenomena and constructs them in new dreamlike environments.
Depending on the series my work is executed in different media from small sized etchings and other traditional printmaking techniques to larger works on paper and canvas , small sculptural (paper) forms and (video) installations. The latest series that I am working on are collages on canvas. I print thin papers from woodblocks, etching plates and use other techniques and create new abstracted landscapes with these fragmented papers glued onto a canvas.

The last few years I collect all kinds of natural materials.  My collection forms an inspiration to construct lyrical and atmospheric landscapes. I am not interested to copy an existing place or situation, but my objective is to capture an essence , a moment in time , a feeling and connection to our natural environment that lingers in our mind and soul.
