Paper
The works in this gallery are created using paper in combination with printmaking techniques. For my latest collages on canvas I work with very thin papers to obtain a layered almost watercolour effect in the final work.
Another project are the paper pulp stones and pebbles. These three dimensional 'stones' are formed out of papier maché and covered with thin etched papers. Started in 2013 this is an ongoing work with more stones added every year. They are incorporated into 2-dimensional works (the Coast series )or are presented as an installation. Other series where I worked with paper are the 'Field' series , here I used flax fibers in combination with paper pulp and nature printing. The inspiration for this series were the blooming flax fields of Flanders and Northern France.
